could you post a photo? I can't see how the bottom would bend in. It's also possible that if you have a big load looping a bungie from the bottom of the rack over the bags and up to the top of the rack might prevent some of this but you have to make absolutely sure the bungie is secure. I found this to be the case with the ortliebs fully packed with groceries on a different front rack and saw the top plastic rail on the Ortliebs bowing downward from the weight and the whole set up was loose/jiggly.
