Yeah, I am using the adapter inserts. My problem is more with the bottom "hook" part of the mounting hardware.
I have a tubus duo setup which is similar to the tara in bag-hanging, I think. I have the hook at the bottom of the pannier pointing back up toward me, basically, to grab onto the diagonal part of the rack from below, if that makes sense.
