Bike component mfrs aren't the only ones to do it.
Buell claims my bike weighs 397# wet. Try about 50# higher.
The registration for my truck says 5200#. Try about 2800# higher.
Lol maybe your truck's GVWR is 8000lbs but it does not weigh that much.
