Possibly a very obvious answer, but where on an old mtn bike('90Trek 950ST) would I mount the stand? There is no plate, the only place I could see is through the hole in the bottom crosspiece between sides of rear triangle(just behind crank). The hole runs inline with the bike. Or is that for something else?

Possibly a rear stay mount the only option?
