I don't understand why you clean your chains if your waxing them...

I had a new XR 600 in 1996 used Maxima chain wax on it from day one... the only adjustment I ever made was the initial break in... I raced 3 seasons and recreationally rode for those 3 years and never adjusted it or cleaned it... just kept cleaning with a vegetable brush and new wax...

that chain should have died half way through the first season...

chain wax is KING...
