but those who have graduated tend to have a little bit of selective memory regarding all of the other stuff we have to do. 30-35hrs/week of homework takes a pretty good bite out of free time. Add to that any extracurriculars and you end up with a pretty full schedule, albeit one with a lot of flexibility. I would most certainly take student life over the life of a working stiff any day, but it's not all summer vacation all the time

I didn't usually have to spend much time doing homework. I did have a handful of classes over my 4 years that required some non-trivial amount of lab work (especially my EE lab) and a long term project I worked on in a group with my housemates. If I had discovered road biking back them I probably would have been riding all the time instead of working a full time job
