I went to bed before 9PM last night and had the most restful sleep I've had in months.

Stunning start to the day. I was able to be in the driveway and mounting up by 6:30 - my preferred departure time. As I rolled out of the carport, the pre-dawn "halo" was backlighting the mountains (which rise sharply from the valley, 1/4 mile from my house), and the crescent moon and venus were just above the halo in the night sky. Nice.
Low 50's F (11-12C). I was still adjusting to the brisk morning air, after having been snuggled in my flannel womb all night as the breeze permeated the house, so I chose long sleeves and a light shell up top.

It is now totally dark at 6:15 AM. That P7 headlamp can't get here quickly enough!!!!!!!!!!
