Alex Moulton was not happy about that and warned them it would cause the frame to crack near the head stem, and guess what.....it did.
Raleigh's answer to fix the problem? They made an ugly bolt-on sleeve that covered the problem....out of sight, out of mind?
i looked this up its very interesting...Dr. Moulton told them this frames would crack without the front suspension.... heres their "fix"
i still think this project is super cool, i wonder what the old man said when he saw it...maybe he got scared

the folder just needs a birdy suspension...and it would ROCK! lol
