Ridership seems to be up sharply and continuing to rise. That's increasing demand.
Collecting is up, too. I went from about eight bikes to about 30 recently. Others are collecting, though most people don't have nearly as many as 30, but having more than one bike isn't as strange as it used to be.
randyjawa, new bikes become old bikes, so it isn't really true that the supply of old bikes has no new source. But it is true that demand is rising faster than supply.
I wonder how high prices will go, though. I never would have imagined that they'd be this high.
