I had mine geared at 52x14 myself earlier this summer. I had an old 52t chainring laying around and I thought what the heck? And I had this crazy back-of-my-mind idea that I might enter the Merckx division of a TT on it. It was fast, and a lot of fun out in the country, but just ridiculously hard in town going from stoplight to stoplight. Never did enter that TT.
Right now I have a 43x15 on it and I'll probably go 42 or 41 for the rainy season.
