They are still pulling it. They make a hub but don't sell in a certain country. I needed a generator hub that would take a roller brake. Shimano USA had one listed on their website. We inquired and were told it didn't exist (vaporware?) a week later it was gone from the US website. Shot an email to WorkCycles in Amsterdam, NL. He was more than happy to sell me a Shimano generator hub that would take the roller brake AND suggested that I use the larger roller brake vs the puny one that came stock on the bike.
Shimano doesn't even list the brake that came on that bike as being available in the US, but it was spec'd and sold on a bike for the US market.

Another current example is the Shimano 7 speed IGH. Offered in the USA on a number of bikes but not even listed on the Shimano USA web site as a product.
