neck/shoulder pain
I recently purchased a nice used 2008 trek 520. Before I purchased the bike I was sized so I knew what size tho buy. After receiving the bike and having it assembled and fit to me by the shop. I found that after riding 8-10 miles I have neck and shoulder discomfort. I asked the bike shop about it and they told me to bring it in and they added a stem extension. The stem extension helped "somewhat" but I still have some neck and shoulder pain. I've been rinding approx 17-20 miles every other day and want to go further but the neck discomfort makes it no fun. I even went 60 miles on a Saturday, but cant imagine doing that everyday with the neck/shoulder pain. My goal is to be able to do some 1 to 2 week tours and eventually a longer cross country type tour. When I ride I feel heavy on my hands and feel like I want to be sitting a "little" farther back. Do they make such a part to help me. My bike is a mostly stock trek 520 outside of the approx. 2" stem extension and a Brookes saddle. I like the bike and really want to ride - but the neck pain makes it no fun for long distances - Plaese help me
