And it works both ways by the way. More often than I see women treated poorly on here, I see men jump to help them because they ARE a woman. And I have seen women flirt like hell on here. And just like it might be a small percent of the women that do that, so is it a small percent of the men that scare women away.
Flirting doesn't make it OK to lob inappropriate comments. Obviously there have been women on here who get some weird kick out of said inappropriate stuff and feed their egos on it, but that's as big a problem as anything simply because it doesn't belong out in the open forum.
In the same way that dressing provocatively isn't an invitation for unwanted sexual advances, an avatar/sig that display some bit of sexuality are not a big red flag saying "please be vulgar around me."
