every subject can be found in local editorials/letters to the editor as well as regular conversation, and even more so on Internet blogs, comments, discussions, et al.
IMO the most vocal and most nutty on
every issue come from the usual intolerant suspects who sense that their own cherished beliefs are being challenged.
The alleged
public outrage over the alleged problem of cycling scofflaws fits the profile of characters with an agenda, beating their own drums as well as their tin hats.
