I'm not saying that you are missing anything by deciding you will not ever be riding a specialized or driving a BMW, I just have to wonder what other snap judgements you have made in life and believe you may refuse to try things because of it. If you try thing X from company A and decide you don't like it, fine. But 10 years later when you are looking for thing Y, it seems a little silly to complety eleminate company A as an option just because you didn't like thing X 10 years prior.
