you'll need a socket wrench (or just an adjustable wrench, I suppose) to attach the bb tool to -- a high amount of torque is required so you'll need leverage.
you also need overhaul grease.

as for chainring bolts, get EAI steel bolts.

black bolts seem to only come in aluminum -- avoid them -- you want steel.
be sure to grease the threads & use the proper torque.
