May I ask what sort of paint you're using? I'm toying with the idea of fixing up the sheila's bike. (Don't say anything, I know it sounds as though I'm getting the biking bug but I'm not ) Anyway, I thought of using Automotive acrylics, the same type I use to paint birds when I choose to use an airbrush.. Pic included below



I hearing stories that automotive mineral based paints are superior for both purposes. I'd rather avoid mineral based paints because they are so toxic but if they last longer and look better I'd have to consider it.
