If you carry a spare tube in your seat bag, wrap the tube in a glove. Easier to take it in and out of the seat bag and most of the time you need to remove the rear wheel it will be to fix a flat and the glove will come in handy. Or carry oven mitts and stuff them in your jersey pockets. Your choice.
