Nice little report. It does sound kind of silly or at least geeky, secret controls and all. Along the lines of geocaching. I would still like to try Paris Brest Paris someday, and a good excuse to go back to Paris.
Since this was my first brevet I don't have any others to compare with. After a couple emails with Crista and Bill Beck, I have learned that the number of controls, especially the informational controls, was much higher than usual on this ride. Makes sense too- it was a short (for a brevet) ride along a very historic route. Most 200k rides have 3 controls at food stops.
