I started late June to early July to get back to biking. I bought a Denali after reading CigTech first review. I enjoyed cycling so much I started to do a lot of research. I learn a lot about maintenance and performance. I never came across cyclocross. It wasn’t until I was ordering videos on Netflix and came across “9 Ball Dairies” it was about Cyclocross champ Tim Johnson. When I popped the video in I thought it was another cycling event. But these guys were racing on mud trails,, grass, gravel, mounting and dismounting their bikes, jumping barriers and running with their bike. I was like WHAT IS THIS !!!! This was done on road bikes. So I decided to DO training for endurance with the Denali and work 3 to 6 month for a cyclocross bike I seen cyclocross bikes for at my LBS starting off at 1k to 2k. Realistic at 19lbs not 16lb but light enough. I knew I couldn’t do cyclocross with the Denali.
I then entered a 15k bike race with the company I worked for in an annual competition. I dropped a lot of people in my practices with the Denali but when I would take a wrong turn in trying to catch up on the first group I could never catch up and would get drop by those I dropped first. I was frustrated. So the team captain road up to me and said that needed a lighter bike, that I have the ability but I was getting slowed by the bike and that I need not to train so much so I wouldn’t be spent for the race.
I didn’t appreciate his attitude but confirmed what I already knew.
So I got home took my egg beater pedals off and my computer. Left my front and back lights, snapped pictures and sold it on CL.
So my quest and time was ticking to find another bike and back to training. So hence my last post.
I have to say that I appreciate Cig Tech review to get me started in biking again and now this new bike I have is working me out. It’s super light and smooth and now it all about my cardio and legs. So I have no excuses now.

Never blame your bike or your health or anything else if you're the last one up the hill or in to the rest stop.
