I appreciate this thread...I'm pretty new at this, but workouts inolving 20', 40' and 80' have been most useful to me...my plan is to chill until December or January and just ride miles and follow my nose, let my body and mind take it relatively easy...then, in Dec or Jan, slowly introduce some intensity, probably fartlek, for 2-4 weeks, then get a little more structured (for 2-4 weeks?) with 10-20' intervals, then add sprint workouts to the mix, and then get into some longer SST...and then into a pattern of work hard/build, recover/chill, enjoy benefits of hard work, work hard/build, recover/chill, enjoy benefits of hard work, etc...
