If I remember correctly, the biker was right behind an SUV who had to slam on their brakes to avoid another car. The biker crashed into the rear of the SUV and the biker smashed through the rear window.

Obviously the biker was ridding way too close to the rear of the SUV -- just as if he was driving a car -- and didn't allow enough room to stop. Why he was doing that, I don't know.
