There was a race going on - The 1000 Warriors race. The Utah DOT decided not to close the road for this race in the morning. They did close it later in the day for the Tour of Utah. The 1000 Warriors race was following the same route. It's easy to say he was following too close, but that leaves out all the circumstances. He probably wasn't following too close, just going too fast (he was in a race). All the information I've seen says he's a good rider. I think everybody learned something that day, riders, race organizers, UDOT, everybody. I hope there are some changes next year.

Anyway, I'm rally glad he's back home and on the mend.
