Ive got a frame with the very same issue, spreading them furthur apart isnt going to do anything cause once you tighten the bolt its just gonna bend it back. For me I gave up on trying to find a allen key binder bolt that would fit, instead im using, believe it or not, a chainring bolt, its an older one and doesnt use an allen key fitting, so I use a normal wrench, but its all clean still so im happy.
