I have looked at the LaPiere, they look like a very nice biek for the money. Shimano parts, reasonable spec and nice frame. I did not like the grips and would replace them with the Specialized ones. The only downside is that as far as I know the only ones selling them are Cycle Super Stores here in Dublin. I have no experience in buying from them, I know that LBS's that I have bought from have stood over their product and been very good. Personally I have had very good experience with Specialized and Cycleways.
