I knew there HAD to be actual responsible cell phone users! Then again, one tends to only be "disturbed" by the irresponsible ones... part of the issue is those ones are WAY easy to spot because there are so many of them.

My guess would be that marshall was simply telling you that you could ALSO take some time soon. I would have said "thanks for stopping to cell." Then again, I'm weird and do shout out thank you to the few and far between folks that actively show courtesy to bike riders.
