I drive about 1.5 miles to a parking area at a bike path, then ride 20 miles to work. The road that I drive from home to parking area, isn't suited to bicycle traffic. I 'could' ride the whole distance but that would add another 10 miles of riding each way. I just don't have enough time to add that extra 10 miles but I still get in 40 miles a day and only drive a couple.
