I've got a set of 45mm Zefals, too. I've had both 27" and 700C wheels on my Motobecane with these fenders and no problems. I wasn't wild about the idea of plastic fenders either -- at first. Once they arrived and I saw how much they looked like stainless steel, I quit fussing about it. For $15, you can't beat 'em with a stick.
