I've gotten in the habit of counting cyclists and pedestrians when I use bridges late at night. If I just want to get home quickly, from Brooklyn, I'll use the Manhattan Bridge. But one night when I was coming home from Brooklyn around 1:30 or 2 am I chose the Brooklyn Bridge because I figured it was more likely to have people on it. I counted four pedestrians on the bridge and they were all west of the west tower.
