I bought a Tass about 6 weeks ago (first MTB) and have really been enjoying riding the trails and greenbelts of Austin. However, I'm new to these types of bike and have only rode a few others, so I am by no means an expert. I'm kinda long and the geometry felt good to me. The reviews were very favorable, I was ready to buy, and the bike seemed right... so I got it.
I am on a learning curve and the bike has been kind to me so far. I've been on the ground a couple of times now, but have yet to go over the bars
The components are a good grade and if you are so inclined in the future you can convert to disc brakes fairly easy.
My Tassajara calls for me often and makes me want to ride as often as possible, so I think my decision was sound!
