Saw a story the other day about pro bike racers and weight. The average is about 2 pounds per inch of height, and none of the "elite" racers surveyed weighed more than 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) per inch. At 5'11". you're just about right for the Tour de France.
This problem, as others have noted, will take care of itself. I'm 6'4", and when I was a runner, I used to have to stuff myself to get over 200 pounds so I could compete in the Heavyweight class. These days I'm struggling to get DOWN to 240.
