Bikes: 2009 Jamis Commuter 3

On my way into to work today I noticed that someone who went before me (I'm thinking a fellow bike commuter) swept to the side a big pile of glass from a broken beer bottle that had been thrown in the bike lane. Thank you fellow bicyclist!

I had to take the lane a few times, mainly to make a left hand turn at a stoplight intersection, and people acted as though I were made of glass, they gave me way more than 5 feet clearance. Maybe they thought I was crazy to be in the middle of an intersection on my bike, but it feels safer to me to behave in this way than to try to cross at the crosswalks.

This is my third day commuting into work and I haven't met any jerks yet. Also, as a side note, I just have to say that male Tucsonan bicyclists are very, very nice to look at.
