Also, there's a big construction site around the corner from our house. They're doing a colossal amount of filling/emptying/both, so there's a never ending parade of double dumptrucks entering and exiting; the exit is up by the freeway entrance and doesn't affect me, but they turn left in front of me to enter. The flaggers are very aggressive about stopping traffic as soon as they see trucks coming (usually there are 3-4 of these tandem rigs, they are big and slow enough that they can't all make it through the light they need to in the same cycle, although any one slug of 4 or so of them will get through before the next slug appears, so some amount of traffic flow occurs).

Anyway, the aggressive flagger actually didn't throw the stop sign until I passed him this morning, he waited even though a parade of trucks was in sight. That was a pleasant surprise. I think my son on the trail-a-bike confused him.
