What I should have said is that I am assuming that most of the people who use these rims will be riding mostly in the city with a lot of stop and go riding. For this application an aero rim is not nearly as useful as a light one. On the other hand, it does look cool
But with the heavier double and triple wall wheels we're discussing, a stronger wheel makes much more sense than a light wheel that might sacrifice some strength to shave grams. These are all generalizations, but just another side to what you're arguing.
