True, but it's nice to know how to do it before you let the computer do it for you, otherwise we're glorified drafters.

I never had to do FEA as an engineer either... most of my stuff was thermo (semiconductors). Now I'm a bureaucrat.

I actually have a slide rule, but lost it somewhere.
