Club "Retro Ride"

Have been avoiding this place because it arouses vintage bike lust I can't afford right now. However...

The Wolverines of Detroit had "Retro Week", where riders who have them were encouraged to bring their vintage bikes & wear any vintage clothes they had. I rode the Wednesday night ride on my Super Le Tour & took some pictures. Here's a small gallery of pix on my Website.

And here is one shot of a few of the bikes. Front to rear: an unusual Paris Galibier, a nicely repainted Ciocc, and an immaculate (and large) late 70's Raleigh Competition GS. Not all parts on the GS are original but still...

That Paris Galibier seems to be an attempt to get a short wheelbase on a large frame...but why? Just the French being weird?
