I'm running 27 x 1 1/4 tires on Araya 27 X 1 rims.

I did run into clearance issues when I tried running Pana Racer Pasela Tour Guards in 27 X 1 1/4. They rubbed the FD mount on my Motobecane. The Specialized tri-cross ones on there now barely clear.
