John, I was only there for a short time yesterday (long story) so I didn't notice Davis or Connie. Roger Young was calling his splits during his qualifying run.
Keith Ketterer (in my age group) and Kenny Fuller (60+?) both set Masters world records for the hour on Thursday.
BTW, it looks like Taylor's bike is aluminum. Not astounding but somewhat surprising.
trek doesnt make a cf track frame, nor do i forsee them any time soon. if you mean you're suprised he's not on a trek stickered koga or something, then thats another issue. i wonder what frame that is though. kind of looks like an equinox 7 with track ends, something that'd be a hell of a lot hard to skunkworks up if it was a cf equinox.
