Is it really a good idea to turn this into a fixed gear?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-1975-58c...d=p3286.c0.m14

This auction is for a Vintage
1975? Viscount 58 cm road bike with 27 inch wheels
It has polished alloy forks.
It needs a full restoration and repair to a broken drop out, but is a good candidate for that or make it into a fixed bike frame. It has Benotto L 9/16 3 piece cranks with sp-100al pedals(one cap is missing), Shimano brake and bar end levers with a shimano 105 front derailleur, polygon rear and dia compe front brakes, it was made in England and it has a sealed bearing bottom bracket. It is sold as is, what you see is what I have for sale.
