Bikes: Many

I don't have it any more...

An unknown 24" wheeled middleweight cantilever frame

Banana seat, sissy bar and rams horn handlebar from a friend's bike he threw out when he got a 10 speed.

Wheels built by combining the parts from two different wheel sets... 26 x 1 3/8 rims and a Sturmey-Archer AW3 hub. I was fortunate that the spokes were the right length.

Both brake levers were hooked to calipers on the rear wheel so that I could skid really well, and slow down when it was wet (I was in Tacoma, so there was always a pretty good chance of rain).

I was about 14 when I built it, and my parents sent it to the dump when I was in boot camp. I built it almost 40 years ago, and I still miss it. I rode that bike from Tacoma to Longview, and then out to Oysterville, along with thousands of local miles...

But, since this is the road cycling forum, I had a 1986 Schwinn Voyageur upgraded to my specs I did some of the work, but the wheel builds and group installation was by my local shop.

Shimano 105, with custom wheels built using Shimano hubs and Sun CR18 27" rims

Technomic stem, and Noodle bar.

Black Brooks B17 saddle, and black cork tape on the handlebar.
