For crying out loud. You are about as likely to get creepy crawlies from ANY second-hand clothing item as you are bike shorts (or, indeed, underwear). Which is to say, if they are washed appropriately, that your chance of problems are effectively ZERO. By all means, don't buy used bike shorts - I don't, I admit it - but this pretense that there is any rational basis for the squick that this gives you is moronic. It's about another guys' nuts. Pretending otherwise is so transparent.
