Maybe they should just start suggesting that bikes use the Manhattan Bridge instead. It is underutilized compared to the BB. I wouldn't ban bikes on the BB, the bike tourists can stay on the BB, but the commuters, the serious riders, the regulars could use the MB without feeling like they've lost anything. As I already said, I almost always use the MB now.
