Any job I take would have to be reachable via bicycle or via public transit.

If I have to commute to it via automobile, its not worth it. I spent 8 months commuting to a job in Boulder. Roughly 30 miles one way. Got old real fast.

Of course, I generally don't have troubles finding a new job, nor is the economy too bad in Colorado.
