Even the best fitters make an educated guess about a rider's bike fit. I went to a world renowned fitter and his position caused me to develop a severe tendinitis in my upper calf muscle (gastrocnemious). I had to back off on hard riding for over 6 months and lowered my saddle way below where I originally had it before the fitting just to be able to ride. I laugh when the term "pro fit" is thrown around as in go get a "pro fit" or you need a "pro fit". LOL. Unless they watch you ride in all conditions, especially late in a long ride, they have only a cookbook of ideas to work from. A static or dynamic fit on a trainer will only get you in the ballpark. You have to listen to your body after that and make the necessary adjustments.
