I posted this on the Road bike forum, but realized that this is probably a better place to ask. I stripped the thread on the drive-side arm of my Rival compact crankset... about 75% of the thread is gone. Grrr.

I'm getting a new crankset right now, but had a couple of questions:

1/ Are the drive side arms interchangeable between a compact double and a regular double? Looking at the SRAM website, it seems that the Rival OCT crankset uses the same BCD for both regular and compacts, but I cannot be sure.

2/ Anyone know a good place where I can mail my current crankset and have it helicoiled or re-tapped or somehow fixed? I'll have to mail it in, as I am currently living and working in a very remote location with no LBSes anywhere nearby.

3/ Fervent hope, but anyone have a source on getting a replacement drive-side crank arm (or both left and right side arms)? That'd be poifect, especially if these arms weigh the same or less than the Rival arms.
