getting back on the bike

I had not actively ridden a bike since 2003 when I was hit by a car and stayed off of them for a while(moved on to motorcycles instead as if it would be safer)

Well two months ago I decided that I wanted to get back into shape after losing some weight this year so I got my hands on a new fixed gear and just started riding. At first the high gearing got to me but I just stuck with it. Fast forward two months and I am happy to report that my pants do not fit, my resting heart rate is significantly lower and best of all I am able to ride for seemingly as long and hard as I choose. I just relocated into downtown so I have been having a ton of fun doing late night rides and feel great about it. Not sure how much weight I have lost as I do not have a scale, do not care really as long as I am getting back into shape. I also quit smoking over a month ago in order to ride harder, seems like my life is starting to revolve around my bike.
