We stayed there earlier this year in May and we are scheduled for next September. According to Cleave, he rides down from Long Beach to get in some hill climbing.

No we did not. We had limited time in SD and my wife had a conference. When we lived in SD, we saw an Americas Cup race. We were out ocean watching the race. The Americas Cup yachts were amazingly fast to see live on the water.
