OK, I'm really disappointed nobody has commented on this.
I will just say that when I used to live in LA (the Westwood area) one of my regular routes would take me up Sepulveda Blvd. to Mulholland Drive. I'd then take Mulholland over to Benedect or Coldwater Canyon, and descend into Beverly Hills. Frequently I'd find myself on Rodeo Drive on my way back over to Century City and home.
Somehow, breezing down Rodeo Drive in my biking kit, I never seemed to fit in...
