Nice trip report and very timely for me. I just finished my summer project: A fully loaded tour from Canadian to Mexican borders via Cape Flattery and the PCH. I just rode through Malibu, LA, Newport Beach, Camp Pendleton (agree on the pride felt going through the Marine checkpoint), Del Mar, etc this week and now am staying a few days with friends here in San Diego before returning to the Bay Area.

What a way to see America.
