'Some' roadies are definately off in their own elite world. Thats just fact, but I know enough mountain bikers to know some of them are too. Every sport has elitists. In football they were the quarterbacks and linebackers, in tennis it was the americans and germans, in basketball the point gaurds...fact of life really. There will always be people who think they are cool by just being....them in the position they think is most important.
Once you learn to suck it up and ignore them the less pissed you will be. And really, wanting your bike perfect isn't a crime, but I do understand your point
